The Healthy Neighborhoods Study (HNS) is a pathbreaking participatory action research project that explores how neighborhood changes like new development impact health and well-being of people living there. The study is a partnership between community partners and residents in nine communities in Eastern Massachusetts, CLF, and MIT’s Department of Urban Studies and Planning. HNS research findings have informed the development of HNEF II HealthScore criteria.
